Tunxis Community College
One of my great passions in life is to teach. I began my career as a
college professor in 1995 by teaching part-time at my Alma Mater the
University of Connecticut School of Social Work. In August 2005, I
finished my Doctorate in Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Connecticut.
My dissertation is entitled Older lesbians in Connecticut: Experiences
and attitudes towards accessibility of social services. View my abstract. View my article from the Journal of Women and Aging. My research interests include solutions to ending domestic violence, equality for lesbian and gays, lesbians and gay aging.

By way of introduction, I am a social worker with over twenty years of experience. Over these years, I have served as a Director of Volunteer Services for many social services organizations in the Greater Hartford area. I have extensive experience designing, training, and implementing volunteer programs with “at risk” populations.
